With our personal alarms for the elderly, Helpline is here for those people who may be vulnerable or at risk in their own home. We understand that, today, many families find themselves spread across the country, meaning that you are likely to end up living many miles away from a parent or elderly relative. It can be hugely worrying knowing how long it could take to get to them if they were in need, and even more concerning that they may not be able to reach the phone for help in the first place. That’s why we’re here, caring for people across the whole of the UK, with our care line available to anybody, anywhere.


The Five Star Helpline family has certainly lived up to their name for me. There have been several times I’ve had to press my button for help, and it has always been at night when it is more scary. But the team has promptly come to my aid. I would like to thank you all for your help.

In the case of an emergency in the home, such as a fall, you simply press the button on your alarm. No need to remember any numbers!

The centrally located emergency response centre will be alerted immediately. They monitor all our personal alarms UK wide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

An operative specially trained in how to respond to a fall alarm for the elderly will speak to you through the base unit to find out exactly what has happened. If it is appropriate they will notify one of your emergency contacts and ask that they attend your property as soon as possible. If the matter is more serious they will contact the emergency services immediately. If you are unable to respond for any reason help is dispatched straight away.

Pendants are a great safety net for many people. Whilst the majority of users are elderly, alarms can be of use to people in many situations. Our service is designed so that it is easy to use for those with hearing or sight problems, making it ideal for those who wish to continue living independently.
